The Steps to Get Setup!
Step 1. Create a Free Google Data Studio Account
If you do not already have an account for Google Data Studio, you can signup here. https://datastudio.google.com/ Additionally if you already have a Google login for other services such as Google Ads, we recommend using the same login for all Google Services.
Step 2: Set up a Third-party data Studio connector
Create a PowerMyAnalytics account.
The template (or any other Facebook reporting for that matter) requires a third-party connector to link your Facebook Ads account to Google Data Studio. We have reviewed several third-party data connectors, and the best one we have found in terms of performance and price is PowerMyAnalytics.
This company charges your a monthly fee of less than $10 dollars per month, per Facebook Ads account. If you are an agency, they also offer volume discounts for multiple Facebook Ads account connectors. https://www.powermyanalytics.com/pricing/
PowerMyAnalytics has a 14-day free trial for testing. https://hub.powermyanalytics.com/trial
We have created a short video below on how to set up a PowerMyAnalytics account and a dataset with Google Data Studio.
Step 3. Create a Data Source for Facebook
Next you need to create a data source for your Facebook Ads account within Google Data Studio. Then you can copy one of our templates and attach the data set to this.

Facebook have campaigns with different objectives, each with a different set of reporting. We have created templates for the most popular campaign types below- and will continue to update this page with the remaining campaign objective templates over time.
